DTV Shredder – An Off Road Capable Segway?

Yeee Haaaw!! The DTV Shredder is a dream come true for the outdoorsy type who love to play and don’t mind getting dirty in the wilderness. This Dual Tracked Vehicle features aggressive tank tracks, an all-mechanical design, and a powerful engine allowing the vehicle to travel at relatively high speeds on almost any terrain and in all types of weather conditions. There are plenty of ATV’s and dirt bikes which are more capable than this DTV but how cool would it be to ride a Segway-like device but on steroids?

The DTV Shredder is capable of going up to speeds of 30 miles per hour depending on the type of terrain you are cruising on. The vehicle weighs in at 200 pounds and is capable of carrying around one person. The DTV Shredder has a towing capacity of 300 to 500 lbs and a range of 30 miles before having to fill up the tank.

The 196CC, 4-stroke motor produces 13 horsepower which may not sound like a whole lot but it’s enough to haul most fat asses around in rough terrain such as snow, sand, mud, mountain-like conditions, and even shallow water. The vehicle rides on continuous molded rubber track so you won’t be causing any damage to paved roads.

The control system for the DTV Shredder is based on a pivoting platform much like a skateboard with twist grip throttle, and brakes which are on the handle and pivot as well for stability. The chassis is built out of steel tube frame and features a fully integrated multi-point suspension. The DTV Shredder will set you back $4,500 plus another $500 for shipping.

The DTV Shredder is another fine example of a vehicle we don’t need but should have in the garage just because it seems like a cool idea.

  1. I just saw this in another article. It’s pretty nuts. I’d love to get my hands on one one day. I’m sure they’re extremely fun to ride. Can’t imagine what it took to finish building that. Thanks for sharing!
