Croatia: The Perfect Party Destination

Readers of Unfinished Man know how much we like Croatia. This incredibly beautiful party destination is near Hungary and Slovenia at the Adriatic Sea. This country is heralded for its gorgeous beaches, parks, and thousands of years of history. This country is full of energy and a youthful culture. Visit Croatia and stretch your travel dollars to the max this year!

The Dalmation Coast is packed with exciting bargains and club tourism packages take you to the choicest hot spots. If you’re on a budget, avoid some of the tourist destinations such as Hvar, the fabled home of Marco Polo. Head for Korcula and plan to revel with others at sundown (and dance ‘til dawn) or simply take long walks through the old city.

The cafes and scenery are incredible—you’ll say “This is a place that time forgot!” It’s still possible to enjoy a full meal for the equivalent of $2.00 here! If you’re traveling with friends, you might also consider going splits on a Croatian holiday villa rental.

Croatian Riviera

This coastal part of Croatia is fondly known as the Croatian Riviera. Look for a cruise as the start of a great clubbing holiday and you’ll be surprised at how many affordable options there are.  Take time to visit the amazing beaches of Croatia, and you’ll be glad you did. The Croatian coastline meets clean, perfectly clear sea waters. The Adriatic’s plentiful bays and reefs meet pristine sandy beaches dotted with shade trees. Depending on what you’re after, you will find beach resorts that are suitable for families or singles:

  1. On the Istria Riviera, you’ll find Medulin about eight kilometers from Pula. This archipelago offers some small, uninhabited islands that are perfect stops for yachtsmen, yacht parties, or those venturing out in a boat taxi.
  2. Rabac, frequently referred to as the pearl of Kvarner Bay, has been a popular party destination since the 1960s. Check out the summer carnival and festival—this is a season of dance and song. There are too many sporting activities to mention, but the party boat excursions, immaculate beaches, and delicious restaurants make it perennially popular with visitors of all ages.
  3. Pag, known as the party island, is home to Zrce beach. Travelers from around the world call this place “Croatian Ibiza” because of its endless parties. Open-air clubs make this one of the most popular places to party on earth!

Croatian beaches offer enormous variety. Brela Beach, one of the very best known beaches in Croatia and Europe, has “top ten” beach status. This seamless stretch of beach reaches six kilometers, with some jaunty coves and gorgeous old pine trees included for visual interest. Although the beach is almost undetectable from the highway, there are nearby hotels for those who want to soak up the sun and beautiful atmosphere here.

Parks

Don’t miss the parks of Croatia. Plitvice Lakes is a popular national park: sixteen lakes and estuaries connect with each other here. It’s one of the most amazing sights in Croatia. Although visitors cannot swim here, they are allowed to drink it!

Risnjak National Park, a bit less popular, is the perfect place to hike or enjoy native animals and wildlife. Meadows and walking trails here are considered some of the most scenic on earth. Paklenica National Park is a perfect place for rock climbers–incredible gorges and cliffs call to active naturalists from all over the world.
