Chad cutting his nails with the Design Go Nail Clippers

The Best Nail Clippers On The Market? Design Go Travel Nail Clippers

I was travelling through Europe recently, and by the time I got to Switzerland I realized that I had a real problem on my hands. When a person travels, inevitably they forget a thing or two, but what I had forgotten to bring was extremely important to the safety of both myself and everyone around me. What I had forgotten… was my nail clippers.

Looking around, careful not to stab any passersby with my dagger like fingernails, I eventually picked up the Design Go Travel Nail Clippers at the hostel we were staying at. After having used them, I can safely say that

Traxxas X0 1 RC Car 1 e1323153903497

Traxxas X0-1: 100 MPH RC Car

The Traxxas X0-1 is one of the fastest RC cars in the world and is the fastest out of the box RC car.  The X0-1 can hit a top speed of 100 mph, which is pretty damn fast especially for a remote control car that you don’t need to “hack” or mess around with.

According to the company, the X0-1 is not a toy car and is intended for experts only; it carries a risk of fire, injury, or worse, death!  Traxxas suggests using the car on a closed course, like a race track or a drag strip.  I can see the X0-1 taking out a few toes if you race it at full speed with people around, especially if you’re doing it in your living room.

Logitech Touch M600 Mouse

I never thought I’d find a computer mouse sexy, but here we are and I say “this is one sexy mouse!” The mouse in question is the Logitech Touch M600 Touch; it’s like one of those fancy Apple mice without buttons that you see at Starbucks next to those fancy laptops. 😉

As cool looking as the M600 Touch mouse is, it’s nothing too special. It’s basically a trackpad (those things found on laptops) shaped like a mouse.  You swipe your finger across the surface to move the cursor and click it.  The Logitech Touch M600 mouse uses one AA battery that lasts for about 3 months and if you want to double that to 6 months, there is a slot for a second battery.

iXoost Exhaust Manifold Docking Station

iXOOST – Beautiful Car Exhaust Docking Station

When you throw people who love cars and people who love audio in the same room, you would expect to see a car with a bad ass sound system installed in it. That would be a pretty accurate assumption but we all know one should never assume. Instead of the car with the fancy sound system, the end result is the iXoost docking station for the iPod/iPhone.

The iXoost is entirely hand-built in Modena, Italy with the base built out of a solid block of aluminum and then fitted with eight, ten, or twelve cylinder exhaust manifold which has been twisted and turned into a masterpiece using  five-axis machines.

Custom Desvall Hookahs and Shishas

Desvall Shisha – World’s Most Expensive At $60,000

I’m no shisha/hookah connoisseur but I do enjoy the occasional smoke here and there. I actually talked about my hookah experience a while back and we’ve featured a couple of fancy devices such as the Porsche Design Shisha and the Etienne LeRoy Shisha. I thought those hookahs were fancy but boy was I wrong! The Desvall Shisha is apparently the most expensive in the world selling for a staggering $60,000.

Desvall is offering unique pieces with state of the art engineering while incorporating traditional craftsmanship. Each Desvall Shisha is milled out of a solid block of metal with tolerances down to five hundred of a millimeter. Each metal piece sanded and polished by hand and then individually coated.

iPad speaker amplifier

Amplifiear by Nonliner Studio – Amplify iPad’s Sound

One of the biggest complaints I have about the Apple iPad, other than me wasting hours playing with it, is the lack of a proper speaker and I’m not the only one with this complaint.  Sometimes, when I’m watching videos on the iPad, I put my hand behind the speaker and giving it a round shape to bounce the sounds toward the front, kind of lame but it does work somewhat.

Nonlinear Studio took the idea of using a hand as an amplifier, I guess I wasn’t the only one doing this, and made it into a neat little product.  The product is called “amplifiear” and it looks like a saucer or a plate that’s missing
