Last year I wrote a brief post about the Dyson Air Multiplier “Bladeless” fan and crowned it the “coolest fan in the world”.  I would’ve never thought about writing a post on a fan, let alone doing a full review of the fan.  Because, after all, a fan is a fan; but the Dyson Air Multiplier is no ordinary fan and deserves a full review.

I’ve had the fan for a few weeks and I stand behind the “coolest fan in the world” title.  This fan is simply awesome, the design is minimalist and it looks perfect in any room in the house or at the office.  Regular “bladed” fans take away from a nicely decorated room while the Dyson Bladeless fan adds to the design.

Now that Movember is over, I’ve been searching the web to see if I’m able to find a nice razor since I’m now allowed to shave again. I was looking for something a bit more on the high-end side and I came across the Zafirro Iridium. I guess “high-end” means different things to different people.

The Zafirro Iridium is the world’s most expensive razor costing a staggering $100,000 US dollars. Not exactly what I had in mind. Researchers spent three years to develop the Iridium which has a handle that is made out of 99.9% pure iridium. Iridium is the most corrosion-resistant platinum metal and can withstand temperatures of up to 2000 degrees Celsius. The three years of research helped the company gain experience in fields such as rocket engine manufacturing, particle physics, and nanotechnology to create the blades.

To the trained eye, a cufflink is a small accessory that can have a big impact on the look of your shirt and suit. It’s an accessory that most guys don’t own but probably should just because it’s a nice finishing touch and perfect for special occasions. They can range in price from a few bucks all the way into the 100’s of dollars depending on the materials used and the brand.

And if you happen to be that guy who is going to drop major cash on a pair of fancy cufflinks then you might as well spend it on cufflinks that have multiple uses. Besides looking all fancy, these Polished Silver Oval cufflinks also act as a high speed WiFi hot spot and a 2GB USB storage device.

Joerg Sprave, the Slingshot guru, has recently unveiled his latest DIY weapon – “The Nerd Revenge 2000”. The new weapons system is a pump action, pencil firing crossbow capable of firing a pencil at close to 100mph and has a magazine capacity of 10 rounds (pencils).

The range of the weapon is only 5 meters since a pencil is relatively light but the range can be extended by gluing an archery field tip to the pencil. The added weight at the tip of the pencil helps extend the range and provides a more deadly punch.

Jay Silver and Eric Rosenbaum, graduates from MIT Media Lab, have kickstarted a pretty cool project which allows you to convert pretty much everything into an input-device for your computer. It’s basically an electronic invention kit for non-technical people.

The product is called MaKey MaKey and it allows you to craft up a ridiculous number of crazy electronic projects using only a main board, some crocodile clips, and a USB cable. The examples seen in the video below include a banana piano, playing Mario Bros. via Play-Doh, and a number of other computer interface modules. The possibilities are infinite.

I’ve done a few hookah related articles in the last two years and today I will be officially reviewing the Khalil Mamoon World Cup hookah.
