Shawty’s Over 9000!! If you have no idea what that means, watch the video above and read the interview below to find out what that means. In the process, you will also learn about Vancouver based rappers, BB & G-Wize who have a unique and versatile set of skills on the microphone. I wanted to say that they are a diamond in the rough but that would be an incorrect statement. These guys don’t need any polishing and will easily wreck the mic. They are two down to earth dudes who are trying to get their foot in the door in the music business.

Unfinished Man: So guys, why don’t you tell us a little bit about yourself and your up bringing?

BB & G-Wize: We’re both best friends who’ve known each other since high school from middle class families. Rapping was something we used to do for fun when we were young, B was the producer/instrumental composer, and G was the main guy who was rapping at the time. Both of us kind of got real good at it, impressing people at talent shows and other venues.. eventually this turned into something we really loved to do and here we are hoping to make something big out of all this.

UM: Boriz and Gamada, how did you guys end up with stage name BB & G-Wize?

Years ago I read the epic Dune series of books by famed author Frank Herbert. From the pages of his books I learned a great many things. I learned how to walk across open stretches of sand to avoid attracting the giant Shai-Hulud, and perhaps more importantly, the Bene Gesserit taught me about the power of music, and the sway it holds over people.

I’ve started to realize that people do in fact enjoy the music they hear on the radio. There’s a good reason it’s called pop, and in a way this music hold sway over a great many people. I’m not entirely sure that this falls into the realm of work safe, considering I have found for you a magnificent video of bottom percussion. For those not in the know, this is a talented drummer drubbing a spritely staccato on some shapely ladies’ rear ends.. Since at first, the name sounds like it could be something  much, much worse, I am hereby dubbing this catchy beat: The Butt Bongo Fiesta.
