The Best Nail Clippers On The Market? Design Go Travel Nail Clippers

I was travelling through Europe recently, and by the time I got to Switzerland I realized that I had a real problem on my hands. When a person travels, inevitably they forget a thing or two, but what I had forgotten to bring was extremely important to the safety of both myself and everyone around me. What I had forgotten… was my nail clippers.

Looking around, careful not to stab any passersby with my dagger like fingernails, I eventually picked up the Design Go Travel Nail Clippers at the hostel we were staying at. After having used them, I can safely say that I’m extremely happy I did. Buying it spared me another week of obnoxiously long fingernails, and I also got what I quickly realized was the best nail clipper that I’ve ever owned. Here is what I like about the Design Go Nail Clippers, and why I think it’s better than every other nail clipper I’ve tried so far.

What I like about the Design Go Travel Nail Clippers

  • The blade is incredibly sharp, which means that your nails won’t get bent or torn like they would with a pair of nail clippers you purchase from the local drug store. The sharp blade also means that nail clippings fall directly below the blade, instead of ejecting all over the room. This works perfectly if you’re cutting your nails over a garbage can and don’t want to make a mess.
  • Design Go included a built-in nail file, so you don’t have to worry about carrying around a whole “nail kit”. The file is tiny, has no sharp edges – which is perfect for airplanes – and the file has a perfect grit. Just a few strokes and your nails will be smooth and erupting with joy.
  • There are no sharp edges or excessive amounts of metal in the nail clipper. This means that you can bring it on your carry-on when traveling and not have to worry about it setting off any alarms. Why one would want to trim their nails on the plane I couldn’t say, but if you’re like me and only travel with a single backpack as carry on, you’ll find this invaluable. You laugh, but it’s not much fun having claws after a few weeks of traveling without a nail clipper. Your girlfriend will thank you.

At this point you’re probably thinking that this is the strangest review that I’ve written for Unfinished Man, and you would be right. Having said that, this is by far one of the most useful items I’ve picked up in the last few months. I’m one of those people who needs to cut their nails twice a week to keep them at bay, and having to manage that using a crappy nail clipper that simply bends and breaks my titanium-like nails was incredibly annoying.

If you’ve got tough as steel fingernails, consider picking up the Design Go Travel Nail Clippers. They’re sharp, compact, and will provide the clipping power required to slice through even the toughest fingernails.

You can purchase them online at Nomad Travel for £5.00.
