The Hoverbike – Helicopter and Motorcycle Hybrid

At Unfinished Man, we love things that fly and have featured a number of different aircraft including the very cool, flying hovercraft. And now, we would like to introduce you guys to the Hoverbike. I almost busted a nut when I saw pictures of this …this thing. The hoverbike is the creation of Chris Mallony and is still in development stages with one prototype being used for testing.

Mallony envisions using this helicopter/motorcycle hybrid for Search & Rescue, Aerial Surveys, Films, Military & Emergency services, and my favorite, Aerial Cattle Mustering. The hoverbike’s theoretical hovering altitude is 10,000ft while the airspeed is 173mph (150 KIAS).

2013 Toyota Mark X and Mark X G’s

People living in the USA and Canada have it pretty good when you compare the living conditions to the rest of the world. We pretty much have access to whatever the hell we need or could possibly ever want…. except for vehicles that is. Sure, we have plenty of options here but sometimes it feels like all the “cool cars” are just out of reach.

A perfect example is the newly refreshed 2013 Toyota Mark X sedan. For those who are unfamiliar with this vehicle, the Mark X is a mid-size sedan which shares its platform with the Lexus GS (previous generation) and the Toyota Crown. The Mark X is only available in a V6 engine and the option of an AWD or RWD system. All models come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Easy setup tent - Instant Tent by Coleman

Review: Coleman 8 Person Instant Tent

If you are someone who enjoys camping and do it often then you are probably familiar with the Coleman name. The company makes outdoor equipment from tents and sleeping bags to stoves/barbecues and 100’s of other items. We recently had an opportunity to use the Coleman 8 Person Instant Tent on one of our camping trips in British Columbia. Coleman claims that the tent can be set up in one minute, hence the ‘Instant Tent’ name. I was a bit skeptical but there was only one way to find out.

But before we get to the part about setting it up, the first thing that caught our attention was the size of the tent while in its carrying case. The carry case for the tent is 3’ 10” in length and the height is 11-inches. Unless you have a pickup truck, it will take up a lot of room in your vehicle. The entire thing weighs in at just over 37 pounds. This tent would be ideal for extended stays at a campsite and definitely a bad idea for a backpacking trip into the woods (and probably not even possible).
