The nearly $300,000 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has been unveiled and it set to hit showroom floors before the end of the year. The Volante is the pricier, convertible version of the regular Aston Martin Vanquish. The vehicle also features new generation bonded aluminum and carbon-fiber structure and a mixture of aluminum, magnesium alloy, and carbon-fiber composite body.
The main difference on this vehicle is obviously the convertible feature which Aston Martin has done an excellent job on. In only 14 seconds, the triple skin lightweight fabric is able to unfold and fit snugly underneath the tonneau without any changes to the exterior styling. Not only that, but it can do it while moving at speeds as high as 30mph (48km/h). See the Vanquish Volante lose its roof below:

The Vanquish Volante also has 50 percent more trunk space than its predecessor, the Aston Martin DBS Volante. The Vanquish Volante weighs in at 4,965 lbs (1,845kg) which is only 20 lbs (9kg) heaver than the regular hardtop Vanquish. One area that I’m not particularly fond of is the interior of the Vanquish which seems to be a bit on the boring side in terms of design. The colors will definitely get your attention though.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.9-liter V12 beast pumping out 565 horsepower and 457 lb ft of torque launching the Vanquish Volante from 0 to 62mph in just over 4 seconds. The Vanquish Volante features the same transmission as the coupe featuring a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox.
Aston Martin will start making deliveries of the Vanquish Volante in the UK and other European countries before the end of the year.
