I’ve been a big fan of the Infiniti Q50 sedans, or as it was previously known as the G35 and G37. However, I never warmed up to their 2-door counterparts for some reason, they just didn’t look right and didn’t really feel sporty. Well, now Infiniti has released images of the 3rd generation G…err Q coupe, now known as Q60 and I think I kind of like it.
I think this car might actually look better in person than in pictures, it features a similar look to the Q50 sedan and has some nice sweeping lines, giving it a pretty sporty character. The Q60 is going against cars like the BMW 4-Series, C-Coupe, Lexus RC, and a few others in this category. The car is based on the Q60 Concept, which I liked right from the get go.
The new Infiniti Q60 will be offered with two engine choices and three output levels. The most powerful version is the twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 engine, producing 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque between 1,600 to 5,200 rpm. This same engine is also offered in de-tuned version, producing 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The other engine is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder, which produces 208 horsepower and 258 pound-foot of torque. The Q60 will only be offered with a 7-speed automatic, no more manuals.
The interior on the 2017 Infiniti Q60 Coupe looks identical to that offered on the Q50 sedan, with the same dual-screen layout.
