100 Years Back In Time – Russia In Color Images

I’ve always wondered what life was like back in the day when times were more simple. I think it would be pretty neat to go back in time and just hang out and try to to pick up the hotties from way back then. Unfortunately, I don’t have a time machine to make this epic trip back in time. What I do have are photographs taken by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii between the years 1909 to 1912. What makes these pictures unique is that they are in color. Sergie used a special camera along with red, blue, and green filters which allowed him to show near true color pictures when projected with filtered lanterns. Have a look below at some of the amazing pictures of Russia a 100 years ago.
