The Lies That Movies Tell Us

Movies are often pure fantasy, a way for us to escape the restraints and restrictions of reality and go a little crazy for a few hours, or at least, watch actors go a little crazy. There’s nothing wrong with escapism; in fact, it can be a ton of fun. Sometimes, though… movies tell us a whopper of a lie.

This skit featuring a collaboration between Zamboni Grenade and Hamilton 100 exposes one such lie, a lie that movies have told us countless times. The truth is both hilarious and perhaps even useful. Here we go…

I’m going to level with you: I actually didn’t realize that chloroform took so long to knock a person out. While I didn’t believe it was as short as seconds, I didn’t realize it would take up to 10 minutes. Might be worth keeping in mind if any of us are in the unfortunate circumstance of having someone break into our house and try and knock us out.
