Isuzu D-Max Blade Pickup Truck Now A Permanent Option

While North Americans enjoy their full-size pickup trucks, the Europeans are having fun in smaller packages. Isuzu is not exactly a household brand here in the US and Canada although they are quite active in the commercial truck business. The Isuzu D-Max is quite a common sight in the UK and last year they released a limited edition Isuzu D-Max Blade. Isuzu actually had to build twice the amount thanks to demand for the light pickup truck.

Because it was such a hit, the Isuzu D-Max Blade is now their flagship truck for the UK market and they will continue to build the special edition pickup truck as part of their regular lineup. The 2015 D-Max Blade has a starting price of £25,999 and is available in only two colors: Cosmic Black as a standard or the optional Pearlescent White paint job.

The vehicle will come with a five-year 125,000 mile warranty which is rare to see for trucks. The Isuzu D-Max Blade is powered by a 2.5-liter twin-turbo diesel just like the standard Isuzu D-Max which puts down 160 horsepower and 295 ft-lb of torque. The truck is equipped with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic transmission. Although not a quick truck, it does have a towing capacity of 3.5 metric tons and a combined fuel economy of 38.7 mpg.

On the exterior of the truck, the Blade features a ‘Shadow’ gray front grille, black door mirror caps, door handles, and 18-inch six-spoke alloy wheels. On the interior, you get a Piano Black interior, eight-speaker premium sound system, and a 6.1-inch Pioneer touchscreen satellite navigation system which also includs a backup camera.
