Far Cry 4: World Map of Kyrat

I’ve written about Far Cry 4 quite a bit over the past year, and for good reason: the game looks fantastic. I’ve enjoyed virtually all of the Far Cry games, and the 4th title in the series looks to be no exception.

As of the publication of this article, the release of Far Cry 4 is imminent. If you’re reading this afterwards, that’s fine too, because what I’m sharing with you is the final, complete map of Far Cry 4’s fictional region of Kyrat. This complete Kyrat world map shows the locations of all the radio towers, outposts, fortresses, and important locations. It also shows the regions that each of the game’s many animals are found, and of course… the names and locations of the many towns and cities scattered across Kyrat.

If you want to save a copy of this map, just right click on the image and save a copy. If you’re one of those freaks that still owns a printer, well… I suppose you could print out a copy as well. I’ll try not to judge you too harshly.

And here are all the names of the important locations, 14 in total. I suspect there are plenty more minor locales that aren’t covered in this high level map, but you’ll just have to discover those for yourself.

  • Utkarsh
  • Royal Fortress
  • Royal Palace
  • Valley of Death
  • Jalendu Temple
  • King’s Bridge
  • Naccarapur
  • Chal Jama Monastery
  • Tirtha
  • The Sleeping Saints
  • Kyra Tea Factory
  • Banapur
  • Rochan Brick Factory
  • Meh Teh Airport

Far Cry 4 features 18 animals to maim and kill you as you explore Kyrat. Many of them are typical fare, such as wolves, bores, and pigs, but there are a few that really stand out. Check this out:

  • Elephant
  • Yak
  • Rhino
  • Macaque
  • Honey Badger
  • Tiger
  • Wolf
  • Tibetan Wolf
  • Dhole
  • Bear
  • Wild Boar
  • Wild Pig
  • Deer
  • Bharal
  • Demon Fish
  • Snow Leopard
  • Tapir
  • Python

I’ve highlighted my favorites. The honey badger needs no introduction, but have you ever heard of the majestic tapir? Well, let me tell you a thing or two about the tapir. They look a little like a mix between a pig and hippo, but here’s the thing… they have a prehensile penis capable of picking up large stones and throwing them! How crazy is that?

I can just imagine these guys getting angry, coiling out their equipment, and tossing large stones at the player. It would be truly embarrassing to die from a rock tossed by a tapir penis.

In any case… if you haven’t ordered a copy of Far Cry 4 yet, check out article on saving money on games. You should never, ever pay full price.
