Casio G-Shock MT-G Series Watches

As much as we like Casio’s G-Shock line of watches, wearing them to a semi-formal event is pushing it a bit; these watches look good when you’re dressed casually. So to bring the G-Shock a bit up to the “dressy” level, Casio has introduced the G-Shock MT-G Metal Twisted line of watches.

The G-Shock MT-G Metal Twisted watches are different from other G-Shock watches by the material used on the cases and bracelets. Instead of the usual plastic-resin construction, the Metal Twisted watches are made out of stainless steel. But don’t worry, the watches still feature G-Shock’s legendary shock resistance. Although, I do expect these watches to get scratched more easily and I doubt people would put them through the things they put their plastic G-Shock watches through, mainly because of the substantially higher price tag.

These watches remind of Breitling watches, they don’t look exactly like Breitling watches but the size and case does give it that look. The case is rather large, measuring 58.6 mm in diameter and is 15.5 mm thick. The G-Shock MTG series watches come in three finishes: Silver (MTGS1000D-1A) priced at $900, Black (MTGS1000BD-a) priced at $1,000, and Black with red and gold highlights (MTGS1030BD0-1) priced at $1,100.

In addition to shock resistant bodies, these watches come with Multi-Band 6 atomic timekeeping, multiple alarms, solar power, chronograph, and 200 meter water resistance.

The prices above are manufacturer suggest prices, you can pick these watches up for a few hundred less on amazon.com.
