Everything in college costs money and, unfortunately, you’re usually a student full time so you can’t have a job that earns you a lot of cash. This is why there’s the joke that college students live off of Ramen. Luckily, there are tons of ways you can earn some extra income, and you don’t even need to leave your house or put on pants if you don’t want to.
Sell On Ebay or Amazon
Usually as a college student you live in smaller spaces, so it’s usually a good idea to keep the amount of stuff you have to a minimum. If you find yourself too bogged down in junk, this could be a good opportunity to rid yourself of all that extra crap but earn a bit of money off of it too.
Lots of companies out there will pay people to take surveys about their website, business or research to improve themselves. These don’t usually take long at all, typically a maximum of 20 minutes, and you can earn up to $10 a survey. Some good websites for this are iPoll.com, mysurvey.com, and paid-surveys-at-home.com.
There are tons of websites out there for freelancing, whether you’re good at writing or web design, and if you’ve got a little bit of extra time it’s a good way to earn some extra cash doings something you like and are good at. You could use Fiverr, DotWriter or even Elance.
Sell Stock Photos
If you have a knack for photography and a good eye, you could earn a bit of extra money by selling your photos. You don’t need to do this completely alone, as there are plenty of websites out there who will approve your photos and then sell the photos for you and you’ll just be able to watch the money roll in. Some good stock photo websites are Dreamstime, Shutterstock, Pixaby and iStockPhoto, and Fotolia.
Micro Tasks On Amazon Turk
Amazon has an extra bit to it called Amazon Turk where people can list tasks they want completed and for a certain amount. You can then choose a task and complete it and get paid. Typically the payment is really a matter of cents, but if you choose your tasks wisely you could earn just about minimum wage.
TaskRabbit is a website where you can pick a task or errand you’d like to do for someone, such as cleaning, moving help, handyman tasks or just general tasks, and then you’ll get matched with someone who’s looking for that and then once you complete it you can be paid. You won’t earn crazy money doing this, but if you keep at it you can earn some extra money.
Other ways to earn money are resume help, dog walking mystery shopping or being a virtual assistant. The options are endless.
