We’re all going to see an array of vehicles at the 2014 SEMA show early next month from feasible features and technologies to out of this world modifications that no one in their right mind would actually install. We’ll see unique concepts from most of the major manufacturers and Ford will there as well with two unique F-150 pickup trucks. For the past four years, Ford has won the “Hottest Truck” award and they are hoping to make it Five years in a row with the unveiling of two customized trucks.
One of the trucks is dedicated to the off-road enthusiasts while the other is catered to those who want their truck to be fast and sporty on the streets. The first Ford F-150 is the Deegan 38 project of Ford Racing’s Brian Deegan. The Deegan 38 project is intended for off-roading and features a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine. This project was collaborated with companies such as Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, FOX racing show, Addictive Desert Desgins, Mastercraft Safety, KC Hilites, Full-Race Motorsports, SCT Performance, Leading Edge Tuning, ProEFI, and Rockford Fosgate.
Ford and their friends are showing the customizing potential of the all-new Ford F-150 when it comes to off-road enhancements. According to Brian Deegan, “This F-150 should inspire the vast off-road, extreme-lifestyle-loving fan base to push the possibilities of the kick-ass new 2015 F-150 and the awesome 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine”.
The second F-150 truck featured is a street truck built by Vaughn Gittin Jr. of Formula DRIFT. This 2015 Ford F-150 features 12-inches of King shock-controlled travel thanks to Kibbetech custom suspension. This truck is designed to take full advantage of the weight savings of the aluminum chassis and massive torque the all-new F-150 produces.
The street truck features an aggressive stance thanks to its lowered suspension, custom grille, wheels, and Recaro racing seats. According to Gittin, this truck can be used daily driver with the ability to be used on and off-road as well as drifting and jumping capabilities (off-roading).
More details will be available once the trucks are officially unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Show which runs between November 4 and November 7.
