Most of us can’t or don’t have a stone oven in the house/backyard so we have to go out to a specialty pizzeria to get some awesome pizza and pasta. But that’s about to change with the soon to be released Roccbox. Roccbox is the world’s first portable wood and gas fired stone oven allowing you to have access to amazing cooking unit almost anywhere you go.
The Roccbox is designed to cook just about every single food you would cook in your traditional kitchen oven including pastas, breads, pastries, fish, meats, and of course individual sized pizzas. What makes the unit unique is its stone floor and multiple steel layers. It’s able to get up to cooking temperatures within 15 minutes and features a temperature gauge so you can keep track and control the heat. A 12-inch pizza can be cooked in as little as 90 seconds.
The Roccbox weighs in at 20 kilograms and features a protective silicone jacket as well as weatherproof stainless steel parts making it safe for use out in the rain. The insulated internal stone floor is retained in a stainless steel base plate, with an anti-wrap reinforcement joist which ensures its durability and longevity.

One of the features I like is the Roccbox’s ability to use propane or wood as the fuel. This would be a good opportunity for you to taste the difference between food when cooked with the two types of fuel. The company is also working on a smoker which should be pretty cool feature and make the unit even more capable.
