The Oris Air Racing Silver Lake Edition is a limited edition watch and is part of a series of watches produced by Oris to commemorate the watchmaker’s race team’s (Oris Air Racing Team) participation in the Reno Air Race. The watches are limited to 1,000 pieces.
This special edition watch is part of the Oris BC3 line and comes in a special box with an imprint of a compass and an airplane on it. The box comes with a certificate of authenticity, an extra rubber strap, and a strap changing tool.
The watch’s dial is quite simple with large, easy to read numbers covered with SuperLuminova and the traditional three hands. The dial features the date window above the 6 o’clock marker and an image of a racing plane by the 9 o’clock position. The dial is covered with AR coated sapphire crystal and the stainless steel case measures 42mm and is attached to a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
The Oris BC3 Air Racing Silver Lake Edition watch is powered by an Oris 735 (based on the Sellita SW220) self-winding automatic movement with a 38 power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters (328 feet) and features an engraved case-back.
