If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last year or so, I’m 99.9991% sure you’ve heard of PSY, the Korean singer (or one hit wonder) with his hit song “Oppa Gangnam Style”. The video to this song has had over 1.5 billion views on YouTube. If you haven’t heard of PSY, you’re a better man than me, and in case you’re curious, check out Gina’s post on the song, before it was a huge hit (Oppa Gangnam Syle post).
With that out of the way, Swiss watchmaker, Franck Muller has produced a one-of-a-king watch for PSY that features an image of the famous PSY horse riding dance; I’m assuming FM will be gifting this watch to the Korean singer.
The Franck Muller PSY Oppa Gangnam Style watch, as one would expect, is pretty gaudy and reminds me of the watches Randy Jackson wears or those watches made by Jacob The Jeweller for rappers. Franck Muller hasn’t provided any info on this watch but the case seems to be made out of 18k white gold or platinum, and the dial and case is full of diamonds with black diamonds at the three hour markers. The PSY watch gets a 10 out of 10 for the “bling” factor! The little character on the dial, representing PSY, looks more like a chubby Hitler with sunglasses, squatting as he’s about to hug himself.
