Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is a special enough car as is but the German automaker went ahead and made yet another variation of the powerful sedan called the C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition.  This limited edition car will only be available in the Japanese market starting in November 2012.

The special edition C63 AMG will be powered by the same 6.2 liter V8 engine found in the regular C63 but output has been increased from 451 horsepower to 480 HP.  Exterior upgrades include a flat-black paint job, special 19” multi-spoke black rims with red outer lips, red brake calipers, a carbon fiber trunk lid spoiler, and unique exhaust tips.

The interior is finished in red and black Nappa leather that really goes nicely with the black exterior.  Carbon fiber trim has been applied to parts of the door panels and a Harman Kardon surround sound has been added.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition will be priced at ¥15 million or about $190,000 US, at today’s exchange rate.

  1. This is one serious benz with 480hp. AMG makes some seriously cool cars but at 190,000 USD it looks like this car will be only for the select few that can afford it. You don’t see a hole lot of sedans with this level of detail and performance though. Really nice!

    • Aren’t all AMG (brand new) cars for the select few? Cost of gas and insurance alone would put a middle-class owner in the poor house 😉
