The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is the ultimate grand touring car; it’s sleek, luxurious, and full of the latest tech gadgets. But some people prefer to enjoy the sun with top down driving, and Mercedes has a solution for those wealthy customers. The German carmaker recently showcased the all-new Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet (that’s convertible, for us normal folks).
Mercedes also released information on regular, non-AMG S-Class convertibles recently, but the S65 Cabriolet is the ultimate, range topping machine. The S65 Cabrio is powered by a bi-turbo 6.0 liter V12 engine that produces 630 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission, helping the big convertible reach 62 mph in 4.1 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The top speed can be increased to 186 mph with the optional AMG Driver’s package.
The Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabriolet packs all the comforts you’d expect in a flagship Mercedes-Benz car. The car features the same luxurious cabin found on the S-Class sedan and coupe.
