As you can see, I’ve created my very own beer label using the power of the internet, and I couldn’t have done it without… LABELEY! If you’ve ever had a burning desire to create your very own beer label, then Labeley is the site for you. Before trying this out, I couldn’t have imagined any reason to sit at my computer and generate a fake label to print out and glue on to a bottle of say – delicious Rickard’s Red – and after trying this out, I still don’t see the point. Having said that, it’s at least vaguely entertaining, and perhaps there’s a good reason for making fake beer labels featuring robots drinking foul substances.
Labeley generously allows a user to generate a free beer label using a bunch of templates and basic text editing functionality. The process is fairly straight forward, but the text editing is shockingly frustrating. You can only generate and place one single word at a time, making even the most straight forward text additions difficult to place on the label. I had way more awesome stuff to put on the label, but got sick of doing it one word at a time and gave up. Labeley, if you’re reading this, please consider fixing this very serious issue. You actually ruined my day because of the sheer level of frustration trying to add the alcohol percentage to the bottom of the label.
You can play around with Labeley for free, and if you generate an awesome beer label, please share it in the comments below!
