A while back, I wrote about the Flyboard Jetpack by Zagata Racing. The Flyboard is a “jetpack” which allows propulsion in the air but also lets users dive underwater. Now the same company is about to launch a similar product called the Hoverboard and it looks even cooler than the Flyboard they created a few years back.
This new Hoverboard by Zagata Racing is constructed out of carbon fiber and it also happens to attach to any 2013/2014 Flyboard Quick Connects. So if you’ve spent all this money on the original, you don’t have to worry about buying the entirely new unit as the components are interchangeable. You simply remove the Flyboard and attach the Hoverboard. Check out the video below to see the Hoverboard by Zagata Racing in action!
If you already have the previous model of the Flyboard, the new Hoverboard is said to retail just under $2,000 as an attachment. The device uses a single jet while the hose used is a tiny bit shorter than the Flyboard. The Hoverboard can get you high as 20 feet and any attempts to go higher will only bring you down as the hose will tighten up. The operator of the Hoverboard straps their feet into shoes which are attached to the power water jet providing lift via a hand held control to power of the water jet.
Not too many technical details are available about this product at the moment but it looks like this Hoverboard by Zagata Racing is as close as you’ll get to Back to the Future.
