Hail to the Trump: Donald Trump in the White House, Acted by Marionettes!

If you’ve got a few minutes to kill, it’s time for you to see “Hail to the Trump,” Vanity Fair’s dark, hilarious, Team America inspired peek into what exactly a Donald Trump presidency may be like, performed by exceptionally disturbing marionettes. You might even say they’re pretty accurate.

Produced and directed by Condé Nast’s Rachel Samuels, and composed by longtime Vanity Fair editor Bruce Handy, the marionettes were run by a fellow named Scott Land. The first episode debuted on YouTube on November 9th, and the latest installment was released just a few days ago.

What I really enjoyed was how they parachuted into this with an outbound President Barack Obama inviting President-elect Trump to the Oval Office. It’s even more of a satiric gut-kick imagining Obama, of all people, having to play good with the short-fingered vulgarian “birther” billionaire before his swearing in, because you know damned well Trump most likely would act much like this. I know everyone wants change, but Trump? Really??
