Goodbye Evo: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO Final Edition

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, a car many of us dreamed of owing as teenagers and a lot of us tore up tracks and dirt roads virtually on Gran Turismo games, is coming to the end of its life cycle.

Mitsubishi USA is saying goodbye to this fan-favorite, ending production with a limited model called the Lancer Evolution Final Edition, limited to 1,600 car with prices starting from $37,995 in the United States. These cars should sell pretty quickly, even though the design has been around for 8 years.

The Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition is based on the Lance Evolution GSR but with a few tweaks to make it look different. The visual upgrades include “Final Edition” badges on the outside and inside, black aluminum roof, black front grill area with black chrome, and gloss black Enkei wheels. The same black treatment is applied to interior with headliner and black seats with red stitching.

The Evo Final sees a bit of bump in power, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine producing 303 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 305 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
