Fiat Releases Pricing and Specs For All-New 500L

Earlier in the year we gave you a sneak peak of the Fiat 500L but not many details were available at the time in terms of pricing or the available engines. Well, now that it’s about to hit the showroom floors, more details about the vehicle have emerged. Just like  the MINI Cooper, Fiat is trying to milk the 500 as much as it can by introducing a mini-“minivan” variant of the tiny 500 called the 500L.

The pricing and specifications of the 500L for the British model have been confirmed by Fiat. The 500L will have a starting price of £14,990 ($24,115 USD) for the 1.4-liter Pop Star and will max out at £18,890 ($30,385 USD) for the 1.6-liter diesel model (MultiJet Lounge). Yes, the 15 versions of the 500L all have crazy ass names as you will see below.

The new Fiat 500L will offer more interior space when compared to other vehicles in this segment such as the Punto Supermini and the Bravo. The 500L will be available in four different engines which all come with the Star & Stop system as standard. The engines include the TwinAir 0.0-liter gasoline engine producing 104bhp, a 1.4-liter 16-valve gasoline engine (94bhp), a 1.3-liter 16-valve MultiJet diesel engine (84bhp) available in a manual transmission or an MTA transmission and finally a 1.6-liter MultiJet diesel engine producing 104bhp.

I mentioned earlier that there are a bunch of crazy ass names. Well, here they are. I’m not going to bother listing them off, so have a look at the chart.

Fiat 500L Model Lineup

All the models will be equipped with a five-inch touchscreen entertainment system and will feature Bluetooth connectivity. For driver and passenger protection there will be six airbags and ESP stability program. Other standard goodies include cruise control, body-colored electric side mirrors, a leather gear shifter and steering wheel (leather wrapped steering wheel that is).

The base Pop Star model will also feature a body-colored dashboard (an eye sore in my opinion), alloy wheels, and side door moldings. The “Easy” model gets extras such as soft touch finishing on the dashboard, electric windows, and rear parking sensors.

2013 Fiat 500L Minivan

The top of the line, Lounge model, gets all the mentioned features plus climate control, fixed glass roof, electric rear windows, light sensor, rain senor, fog lamps, and an armrest for the passengers in the back.

Fiat wants to make the 500L as customizable as possible and therefore is offering options such as colored roofs, Beats by Dr Dre sound system, and even a built-in Lavazza coffee machine for those who need caffeine on the go.
