I think it would be fair to say that no one enjoys being sick, be it a cold, flu, or a case of the clap. Now, I won’t claim that I can help with the latter two, but I did pick up a simple trick to make your next cold more bearable, and even help you get in shape.
It’s very simple… go for a run, or better yet, lift some weights. Any load bearing exercise will do, such as hefting large quantities of beer from the fridge, or offering to carry the homeless guy’s bottles and cans for a few blocks. He’ll be happy, you’ll be healthier (providing you don’t catch something else) and your nose will be clearer.
I won’t pretend to know the science behind this, and my research has turned up empty, but it definitely works — go try it for yourself. If any of you know the particulars behind this phenomenon, leave me a comment.
