Holy crap. That’s all I can say to myself, over and over, as I flip through Troy Paiva’s unbelievable Lost America photo collection. Paiva is a light painting bad ass who’s been traveling dusty, forgotten back roads across the US since 1989. His phenomenal works span decades and most of the country, illuminating dessicated locales and ruined technology in a brilliant rainbow of eerie hues. If you’re a fan of urban exploration, post apocalyptic landscapes, or innovative long exposure photography, Paiva’s created a Lost America that you’ll find fascinating.

It’s always fun to re-imagine characters from our childhoods as though they grew up alongside us, and we’ve seen a lot of evidence of that with the success of our Disney Princess articles. But what about the movie villains that terrified us and defined our nightmares for years to come? Photographer Federico Chiesa’s Horror Vacui shoot features old horror villains struggling to tough it out decades after they cemented their place in film history.

The video of these cyclists is cool and the work they do is even cooler. A group of cyclists, the Fireflies, are committed to raising money for Leuka, a charity that supports Research and Treatment for Leukemia in London. The group rides the most grueling climbs of the Tour de France every year in an effort to raise funding and awareness.
