The entire internet has been abuzz about today, October 21, 2015, which is the day Marty McFly traveled to in the Back to The Future movie. Pretty much any website you visit today, you should see some mention of this “special” day, we even have a post about it.
Although a lot of the predictions the movie had haven’t come true yet, some have however and some might still… like flying cars… Speaking of cars, to celebrate this day, Toyota has released a special concept truck, called the “Back to The Future Tacoma Concept”. The truck is based on the sweet looking customized Toyota pickup truck Marty McFly got to own after coming back from the past. It was one of my favorite vehicles back in the day, and I still see the same model year Toyota trucks even now, they were reliable little things.
The Back to The Future Tacoma Concept is painted black and features 6 KC lights on the roll bar and the front bumper, they are of the futuristic kind, using LED lighting. The front and rear bumpers have also been removed, in their place are black tubular bumpers, like the ones found on the movie truck. The Tacoma comes with futuristic license plates, based on what license plates should have looked like in 2015, according to the movie. The headlights and taillights have also been redesigned to resemble the original movie truck’s lights, and the truck even features D-S4 badges, which is the fuel injection system. The Back to The Future Tacoma sits on TRD Wheels and BFGoodrich tires, the original truck had Goodyear tires.
