Heavy Metal in the Turks and Caicos Islands – The “70000 Tons of Metal” Cruise

If you’re one of my frequent readers, then you probably know that I love to travel. I’ve seen a great many places through train, plane, and automobile, but never have I been on a cruise. I know… it’s absolutely shameful, and I don’t blame you in the slightest if you decide to forsake me completely. On the other hand, if you’re willing to stick around, I think I can make it up to you with a very special cruise I just discovered.

You see, on my quest to lose my cruise ship virginity, I stumbled upon a cruise called 70000 Tons of Metal. Yes, it’s very clever, I know. If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s basically a cruise that features the “hottest” metal acts in the business. My favorite cheesy metal bands like Dragonforce and Sabaton are all present.

All… of… them.

A Glorious Heavy Metal Cruise

What you’re about to watch is a video showing off the first day of the cruise, starting on dry land and well… I’m sure you get the idea. I think you’ll agree that, among other things, the stage looks absolutely awesome.

So, pretty cool, right? I think so, and apparently other people do as well. In fact, people think it’s so damn cool, that the cruise is actually sold out for 2013! Yes, sad but true, you’ll have to wait until next year to hitch a ride. So on that note, have a look at their official website and browse around. You’ll be able to memorize all the acts, the layout of the ship, and most importantly of all… you can weep longingly that you have to wait another year to attend. I’m so very, very sorry.

Been There, Done That?

Have you already been on 70000 Tons of Metal? Did you just read this and think to yourself, “what a sucker! I’ve already gotten wasted with all the bands on the high seas…”? If so, then please leave a comment below telling us all about your experience, because frankly… I want to go. It looks super awesome. Thank you.
