Unusual Watch: Counter Clockwise Watch

Watch that tells the time backwards

Have a look at the picture above. You notice anything strange about it? We’ve discussed watches on our site more than a few times ranging from extremely luxurious to some that might be considered a bit hideous. And now, a watch that can be considered a bit ridiculous and maybe even retarded?

Well, maybe I’m being a bit harsh but the Counter Clockwise Watch is a bit on the silly side. Yes, you read it correctly. The watch runs counter clock wise and might take some time to get used to but it sure would be fun to confuse the heck out of your friends and family.

Backwards watch tells time counter clockwise

If you’re a watch collector, the $70 it will cost you to pick one up is not going to be a big deal. As a matter of fact, it might be even fun to add something so dumb to your collection. If you’re considering this as your first wrist watch, I would suggest you move right along and look at something else – something that’s not backwards. The watch is available in four colors. More details (in Japanese) on the Counter Clockwise Watch can be found on Rakuten.

  1. Interesting conclusion,”add something so dumb “, so while the universe moves counter clockwise, a watch that moves in agreement with the laws of the universe is dumb? It’s a cool watch, we just need to get with it.

    Talk about brain laundry!

  2. I took me 2sec to read the time on it… Come on !

Too bad you didn’t took the time to think before judging this watch… Analog display is less logical than digital, because you have to use your brain (a little) before being able to read time. Does it means that a Patek Philip is a dumb people watch ? If so, buy a Casio… ^^

As a left handed, I do lots of things in way that could be considered as counter clockwise… I read magazine starting by the end, and of course article by article going backward, it s just feel more comfortable if not logical to me.

I love this thing ! To bad it s a quartz movement !
