Grooming Tips for Busy Guys: Quick and Easy Pointers for Putting Your Best Foot Forward Every Day

Real men know how to look good. A greatly groomed guy makes it look natural. However, every guy needs to keep up appearances just as much as women do. Perhaps it’s not discussed as much in the open, but every guy needs to put his best foot forward each day and here’s how to do it.

Wear Deodorant

Wear deodorant all the time. It’s even better if you reapply throughout the day, especially in the summer months. Applying deodorant is not like taking the trash out; it may need to be done more than once per day. Also, there are plenty of brands that contain natural ingredients; even the most ‘natural’ guy needs to wear deodorant.

Trim Nose Hair

Every guy has it, some more than others. If you’re above the age of twenty, you need to be on the lookout for extraneous nose hair, especially hairs that eclipse the nostrils. There is no woman on the planet who likes guys with long nose hair. Whether you decide to pluck, snip, or cut with an electric trimmer, get rid of it.

Care for the Face

It’s not common to see ads or commercials with guys taking care of their face but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t need to happen behind closed doors. Be sure to wash your face every morning and exfoliate at night. It helps to keep you looking younger and free of blemishes. Your face is what gets the most visual attention; be sure to care for it accordingly.

Pluck the Eyebrows

Forget about what your grandfather’s generation did. Unibrows never were and never will be attractive. Get yourself a good pair of tweezers and meticulously rid yourself of hairs growing between your brows (Yes, there should be two of them!) Some guys go as far as to get their brows waxed at the salon. Good grooming habits are nothing to be ashamed about.

Cut the Hair

It’s an added cost yet it’s important to get your hair cut regularly. Go to the barber or salon every two to four weeks if you have short hair or every four to six weeks if you have longer hair. Women can tell if a man gets his hair cut often, and most ladies are more than impressed by a man who keeps himself looking well groomed.

Maintain the Beard

There are two choices. Shave your face each day or maintain a well groomed beard. Guys who go a few days to a couple of weeks without shaving look unkempt. It’s not becoming nor does it look attractive. If you choose to grow a beard, you must invest in a beard trimmer.

Brush and Floss

Hopefully you don’t need a reminder to brush your teeth, yet flossing is equally important. It removes the tiny pieces of food stuck in between your teeth. Moreover, be sure to brush your tongue as well as the side and upper portion of the mouth. Otherwise, you will be more likely to have bad breath, which is never a good thing. Go to www.AmazingDentistry.com for more information on how to keep your mouth healthy and your teeth looking amazing.

Go Easy on the Scent

Invest in a good cologne but use it sparingly. You don’t want the ladies to smell you coming from a mile away. Cologne is a personal scent and meant to be detected when up close and personal. Also, be aware that each scent goes through different phases and smells different from man to man. Test the cologne at the store, and ask a person (preferably a woman) how it smells after wearing it for thirty to sixty minutes.

Clip the Nails

Clip your fingernails and toenails on a regular basis – every one to two weeks. Maybe you can get away with neglecting your toes in the winter months by hiding them in your shoes, but what about when you’re in bed with a woman? Taking things a step further, consider getting a manicure and pedicure.

Manscape the Body Hair

Some women love body hair while others only like a little bit of hair on their man. However, no woman wants to date a beast. Some places (like the chest) are acceptable to be hosting hair while other places (like your back) are not. Firstly, get a body trimmer and ‘manscape’ at least once or twice each month. Secondly, get rid of any back hair with a special razor, or go to the salon and get it waxed off.

Wear Sunscreen and Moisturize

Much to the dismay of alpha males, your skin is your largest organ. It needs tender loving care. That means wearing sunscreen when you’re at the beach, playing outdoor sports, etc. Moreover, it’s best practice to use a moisturizer every day to keep your skin soft, smooth, and youthful.
