Considering its larger size, the resulting extra surface area to work with was maximised perfectly by the design team at Storz & Bickel with the introduction of their LED screen display. The Mighty is easily switched on and off using the power button and is backed up by an auto shut off mode that kicks in when the unit is left unused for a certain length of time. Temperature settings are easily chosen by the up and down buttons and are represented on the screen.
The unit has a heat up time of roughly 90 seconds and can be used continuously for up to 90 minutes before the charge empties. Keeping up to speed with the battery life of your Mighty is easy with a very useful battery life display on the screen. Taking only 2 hours to fully charge, the Mighty can still be used while charging for those who just cannot wait. One of my favorite aspects of the Mighty is the way it vibrates to let you know it has heated up. It also vibrates when the machine powers on and when it goes into automatic shutdown. If you aren’t finished vaping when this kicks it’s as easy as taking a draw or pressing to power button to wake your Mighty up.
Heating Technique
While there are vaporizers now using a hybrid heating technique the majority still use either convection or conduction to cook the materials. Convection uses a medium such as hot air to heat chamber while conduction works via direct contact with the dry herb or concentrate you wish to vape. The Mighty uses a combination of hot air convection heating with additional conduction ensuring the highest quality vapor is guaranteed. The quality of the vapor produced is a very important aspect of choosing your vaporizer and the Mighty’s is famous. It is known to produce vapor which you would normally associate with a desktop vaporizer for a smaller price and without sacrificing portability. The chamber isn’t the largest but considering the flavor and density of the vapor produced you certainly won’t mind refilling your chamber that little bit more often.
Filling Aid
One of the cleverest additions to the Mighty Vaporizer which I’m yet to see in any rival is the filling aid they provide at purchase. While not contributing to the vapor or the flavor it certainly contributes to the ease of use. Spillages are always inevitable, which unfortunately leads to valuable herb being lost or wasted. By using the filling aid provided with the Mighty you can rest assured nothing will be lost at the loading stage. Easily attached to the chamber, the filling aid can then be loaded without any of the stress. Simply unplug the stopper and fill to your own preference, the filling aid can then be unscrewed to reveal a perfectly filled chamber without a speck of waste. While not being the most important feature, it is the little things that count and Storz & Bickel nailed it with the filling aid they provide with the Mighty Vaporizer.
Mouthpiece
The Mouthpiece is one of the best aspects of the Mighty Vaporizer. Considering how often and how well you clean your unit to be extremely important, the folks at Storz & Bickel provide us with one of the easiest to clean mouthpieces on the market. Simple to disassemble, the Mighty’s mouthpiece reveals the cooling mechanism along with the other integral parts of the mouthpiece. For those of us less savvy with technology, the user manual gives a very easy to follow guide to cleaning. For best results, it is recommended to heat the unit before cleaning to ensure any of the sticky residue is easier to remove. The Mighty Vaporizer is home to a number of funky features which leave no doubt as to why it is as popular as it is.
Overall, The Mighty isn’t regarded as the pinnacle of portable vaporisation for no reason. It is a culmination of a number of features and a reputation built over many years of research and development.
