The Gift of Health

If you are stuck for ideas on what to get your dad or your partner for their birthday, father’s day or Christmas then why not give the gift of health. Men across the world are beginning to see through the negative press surrounding e-cigarettes and vaping.

Vaping is by no means ‘healthy’ but it is almost certainly a greater improvement then smoking tobacco which kills on average 480,000 deaths a year in the US. Although long term research is still being conducted on the health risks of e-liquids, it is clear that they pose a significantly lower long term threat then cigarettes.

So we have established that e-cigarettes are a step in the right direction in terms of improving health. The problem is, is that for many smokers, smoking cigarettes has become habitual and therefore difficult to reverse. This is why e-cigarettes in the form of a gift are so important. E-cigarette purchases are likely to be made by smokers who are actively trying to quit. If you partner, father or loved one isn’t actively looking to quit, then your best bet is buy an e-cigarette as a gift.

What better way to show to the men in your life that you love them, then by showing your support and concern. By providing them with the means to live longer and healthier. Not only will you be investing in your loved ones health, you will also be investing in their long term financial future as expected savings when switching to e-cigarettes average at $3975 a year.

Sure the first few days your gift might just be sat in the box as your loved one continues his deadly habit of smoking tobacco, but psychologically the seeds of change has already been sown. Your loved one is more likely to give the e-cigarette a try if it’s in his home rather than in the store. Your loved one may start slowly, perhaps replacing one or two cigarettes a day with the e-cigarette out of curiosity. Either way every cigarette you can stop is a win for you and your loved one’s health.

The perfect gift is something that someone needs but wouldn’t necessarily buy themselves. A gift should challenge someone, usually this in the form of a book or a CD which you think the receiver would enjoy, but would never discover on their own. This same theory can be applied to electronic cigarettes. So give the gift of health the next time you are struggling to think of a gift for the important men of your life. Together we can help reduce the dangers of tobacco and reduce the risk of cancer. For more information about cancer or the change to donate today check out the charity Cancer Care.
