Summertime Date Ideas

Now that the weather is finally consistently warm, it’s time to start thinking about spending more time out in the sunshine rather than cooped up inside. When it comes to date ideas, the go-to is typically dinner, or if we’re being really cliché mini golfing or something of the sort. While these are fun and you can have a great time if you’re with the right person, there are plenty more ideas out there that are more fun, unique and a great way to enjoy the outdoors during the warm months.

Picnic

Picnicking can be incredibly romantic, but it can also be really fun. Go to the park, lie out a blanket, break open a bottle of wine (laws permitted) and have your lunch out in nature. I guarantee it’ll be more fun than sitting cooped up in a restaurant.

Take a Wine Tour

If you live in an area that produces wine, this can be a super fun date idea. Who doesn’t like to be in a beautiful setting, drinking delicious wine while learning about how it’s made and where it comes from? Not many, that’s who. It can be fun, romantic and a great way to spend a lovely warm summer’s day.

Go on a Mystery Trip

Driving around to places you don’t know well can be fun and add some excitement to any day. Sometimes it can just be fun to pack up a lunch and head out to the open road and just start driving. Where? Who knows, anywhere. You might end up finding some really cool places and it can be a great way to just spend some time with one another. Alternatively, you can plan a trip and not tell her where you’re going—just tell her what to pack. This creates suspense and is a really fun and unique surprise.

Go Kayaking Or Canoeing

Regardless of where you live, there’s probably a lake nearby where you can rent kayaks and canoes. Kayaking and canoeing can be great fun and it’ll certainly put your tolerance for one another to the test! Doing something unusual like this will only make the day all the more special.

Visit The Zoo

The zoo isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but sometimes it’s just fun to admire the animals and pretend to be kids again, if only for a day. It can be fun to get up close and personal with some exotic animals you don’t get to see every day.

As you can see, there are plenty of ways to branch out of the typical date formula and have more fun, experience new things and enjoy some summer time sunshine than just sitting a restaurant at night. Impress her with your unique ideas and happy summer dating.
