Planning on Traveling This Year? Here Is What You Need to Know

The past two years have not been so travel-friendly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the travel industry was essentially shut down.

Recently though, people are starting to travel again. Airlines are filling back up, hotels are open again, and events have returned in full swing.

After spending so much time indoors, it seems that people are feverish to travel. If you haven’t been able to get in on this craze, don’t worry; it’s not too late!

Today, we’re going to be giving you the scoop on how to have a successful trip this year. No matter where you’re traveling to, or for what occasion, these tips will help navigate you through your journey!

Rent a Car

Wherever you decide to go, you’re going to need some form of transportation. While some cities are great walking cities, others require a vehicle to get around.

Nowadays, you can find rental cars for a very affordable price. Simply pick a car, pick it up, and drop it off when you’re ready to leave.

A lot of people choose not to rent a car on their vacation, in an effort to save money. More often than not though, they end up spending more money on taxi rides and Ubers anyway.

Save yourself the trouble and the money of being rideless. Rent a car.

If you’re driving to your destination with your own vehicle, make sure it’s in good shape before you leave. You don’t want to find yourself stranded on the road, hundreds of miles from home, if your ride breaks down for any reason.

You should also clean your car out before leaving and give it a wash. You’re going to be spending several hours inside this vehicle once you leave. Make it an enjoyable ride.

Don’t Forget Your Skincare

When you go on a trip, you usually end up deriving from your typical routines every day. You might not work out how you usually do. You might not sleep how you usually do.

Well, one thing that you don’t have to sacrifice on your trip is your skincare. It might not seem like an essential when packing, but once your skin starts to suffer, you’ll think otherwise.

You don’t need to pack every little serum and mask that you own. However, at the minimum, you should bring with you a toner, a cleanser, a moisturizer, and some sunscreen.

Even if you’re not a skincare aficionado, it’s wise to bring sunscreen. If you’re going on vacation, it’s likely that you’ll spend a lot of time outdoors. Sunscreen will keep your skin from burning up.

If you’re traveling on a plane, you’re going to have to be sparing with what products you pack. Most airlines have regulations regarding how many fluid ounces of liquid you can bring onto their planes.

Do your research before packing. If your products exceed the size limit permitted by the airline, you may be asked to throw out your products.

If you’re in search of a new cleanser, consider checking out the clean slate. This innovative product is filled with potent botanicals that leave your skin fresh and smooth. This cleanser is also made from sustainable ingredients.

Choose a Few Outfits

It can be very difficult to decide what you want to wear on your trip. You’re only going to be able to pack a few outfits, so choose wisely. To make the process easier, think about what your intentions with this trip are.

If you plan on relaxing the whole time, you may want to dress casually and comfortably. If you plan on going out every night and exploring, you may want to break out that special outfit that you’ve been saving.

However, one rule of thumb that everybody should abide by, is to avoid dressing like a tourist. Skip the fanny pack and bum bags. If you’re coming from the United States, you may want to leave behind the baseball cap.

In popular travel areas, there can be many individuals that prey on tourists; scammers, beggars, salesmen, and more. For this reason, it’s always a good idea to try and blend into the local crowd.

A few basic t-shirts and some slacks will fit in anywhere. If you’re trying to avoid standing out, the paint it black collection will do the job.

It may also be helpful to pack some compression socks for when you’re traveling. Compression socks like ted hose socks can greatly alleviate pressure around your feet and ankles, allowing for a more comfortable trip.

Go Snow Tubing

A lot of people don’t know the difference between a snow tube vs a sled. If you’re traveling somewhere with snow, you’d be foolish not to go snow tubing.

Many people mistake tubing for sledding, but they’re actually quite different. Tubes allow for rougher terrain and more obstacles. You’re able to turn and spin around in a tube, while in a sled, you usually just go straight.

Buy Some CBD

Traveling can be anxiety-inducing. When you visit a location that you’ve never been to before, you may be a little uneasy.

It’s smart to keep some CBD around. CBD is effective in treating anxiety and can also help you sleep if you’re suffering from jetlag. Overall, taking CBD supplements while traveling will keep you calm and relaxed.

Fortunately, CBD is becoming more and more accessible today. Brands like Healist Naturals offer affordable, quality products that are clinically proven to deliver results.

Keep Snacks Around

If you’re traveling on a plane, you probably won’t be able to bring much food with you, if at all. You can always pack some snacks into your checked baggage. It’ll save you some money and also prove to be convenient when you’re running around.

For a filling, nutritious snack, grab some protein bars with collagen. The protein from these bars will keep you energized while traveling, while the collagen will help manage your hair and skin.

Use an Expandable Suitcase

Usually, you’re taught to pack light when traveling. However, that’s unnecessary when you have an expandable suitcase. These accordion-style suitcases compress into the size of a single suitcase when folded.

It’s almost like cheating! You can expect to pay a little more for your checked baggage, but at least with a suitcase like this, you can bring whatever you’d like on your trip.

Bring Headphones

Every trip needs a soundtrack. Don’t let your vacation be silent this year. Make sure to bring some AirPods with you. Consider bringing a speaker as well, if you can fit it.

If you have time, make a playlist for your trip before you leave. The background music of a trip can play a huge role in your mood and energy levels.

Protect Your Eyes

You should protect your skin when traveling. Yet, you should also protect your eyes.

If you’re headed to an area with heavy exposure to sunlight, you should bring with you some polarized sunglasses. These glasses create vertical openings for light in their lenses, blocking out annoying glares.
