If you’re at all interested in high-end denim, then chances are you’ve probably heard of a Swedish denim brand called Nudie. They’re one of the few high-end denim brands that regular department stores (like Barney’s) carry, and they’re actually pretty decent. Now they’re trying something a little bit different with their new line of “Post Recycle Dry Jeans”.
The Nudie Post Recycle Dry Jeans are made from the carcasses of dead and dying Nudie jeans, and wonderfully combined into brand new, awesome jeans. I was never particularly fond of Nudie denim texture in the past, but the texture and coloration on this new line look excellent. I’m a real fan of recycled cotton, especially after picking up a handful of “Rescued Cotton” t-shirts at Muji.
Nudie Post Recycle Dry Jeans – The Movie
As you probably noticed in the video, the entire recycling and re-making process is incredible exciting, especially with all the massive, heavy, metal contraptions shredding and grinding the shit out of all the little pieces. What better place to give birth to new jeans than in the belly of a giant spiked contraption.
You can pick up a pair of Nudie Post Recycled Dry Jeans for around $215 USD from Barney’s USA.
