Medal of Honor: Warfighter – Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer

Over the years, I’ve played quite a few Medal of Honor games. In fact, storming the beaches of Normandy in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is one of my fondest FPS memories. Lately, though, the Battlefield series has reigned supreme – at least for multiplayer. I’m an avid player of BF3, and expected that – for the time being – things couldn’t get much better than this. After watching this new trailer for Medal of Honor: Warfighter thought? Well, I may have just been convinced otherwise.

This particular trailing is showing off the multiplayer aspect of the game, and for those of you that aren’t familiar with the premise, in MOH:W you play as a special forces operative. The game features special forces from around the world, and if the multiplayer action is any indication, the teams are a bit smaller, and the fighting a bit more focused and specialized. In other words, awesome all around.

Aside from the stupid name (what else would soldiers be doing than fighting wars?), I’m actually pretty jazzed to play this. The graphics look phenomenal, and I would argue that whatever they’ve done with the Frostbite 2 engine actually looks even better than Battlefield 3. My only gripe in terms of visuals is that the blood looks highly exaggerated, like massive cotton candy poofs of red. Also, I worry about actually having other people to play multiplayer with. Given that BF3 is still going strong, and that Warfighter is – in many ways – quite similar, I wonder if people will be willing to invest time and money into playing yet another military inspired multiplayer game. Only time will tell.

This is the first time I’ve actually covered Warfighter, but I’ll be sure to post new content as it becomes available. In the mean time, you can get more details over at the official Warfighter website. Only a few more months until I can give my new CM Storm mouse another proper workout.
