Connor Kills – The Weapons of Assassin’s Creed 3

In just a few short weeks, you’ll finally have an opportunity to play Assassin’s Creed 3. By all accounts it’s going to be the most expansive game in the series, and apparently this applies to the weapons and combat options as well.

This latest trailer shows Connor kicking all sorts of ass using a wide range of weapons and combat techniques. He’s fast, he’s mean, and he can rope dart (aka the Mortal Kombat “Scorpian move”) with the best of them.

I know it’s just a video game, and one marketed by incompetent idiots to boot, but man… who decided it would be a good idea to give the voice over person such terrible dialogue? I debated mentioning it before the video, but I have a feeling you wouldn’t have watched it, and I didn’t want to suffer alone. The way he portrayed Mr. Kenway actually made me less afraid of him. It made me picture him of less of a badass. Somehow, I have a feeling that they weren’t exactly going for that portrayal.

In any case, I think Assassin’s Creed 3 looks pretty solid, and from what I’ve seen in terms of gameplay footage, I think we’re going to have a lot more “things to do” this time around. Each step in the franchise has brought more and more cool content and material, with the exception of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations which was an absolute abomination. The rest, though? Yeah, they’ve done a pretty solid job, and AC3 appears to be yet another quantum leap. I’m looking forward to it.

Assassin’s Creed 3 will be is now available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on as of October 30th. If you’re a PC gamer, you’re shit out of luck until later this year, since Ubisoft doesn’t care about PC gaming in the slightest. Having said that, no matter your platform of choice, you can order a copy online for about $40 USD. That works out to much less than $1 per stab, which is pretty good value if you ask me.
