Celebrities and Their Classic Cars – From Patrick Stewart to Jay Leno

As much as the writers of Unfinished Man love modern cars, we’re also huge fans of classic cars.  There’s just something special about driving a classic car, from the smell of gasoline in the cabin, to opening the windows and changing gears manually. We’re not alone in our love for classic cars, would you believe celebrities also love their classic cars?  We’re not big on celebrities but the ones that like cars are in our good book.

Just as an example, the team at Douchebag Insurance Company, aka Cherished Vehicle Insurance have put together a small list of celebrities from around the world that are just as crazy about classic cars as we are, we know there are lots of other celebrities that love their cars, which would make for an extremely long post:

Patrick Stewart – The famous actor took part in the Silverstone Celebrity Challenge last July, racing classic cars capable of traveling up to 130mph.

Bradley Cooper – Famous film star from The Hangover (2009) and Limitless (2011) professed his desires to own 1965 Ford Mustang, the same as his dad used to own!

Chris Evans – Known for his collection of classic and sports cars, Evans famously bought a classic Ferrari 250 GTO in 2007 (only 39 in the world were ever built).

Dean Martin – The American singer, writer, actor and comedian bought and modified a 1962 Ghia 6.4L Coupe from Gary Morton.

Nick Mason – The Pink Floyd drummer owns and races several classic cars and has even competed triumphantly at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Rowan Atkinson – AKA Mr Bean, Atkinson has a passion for classic cars that stemmed from driving his mum’s Morris Minor when he was younger.

Pete Townsend – Famous musician from The Who, Townsend used to be a proud owner of VW Campervan until he sold it to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles that now display it at a variety of shows and events.

Jay Leno – Probably one of the most famous car loving celebrity, his garage consists of countless classic and modern cars; he even has a show about cars, called Jay Leno’s Garage.
