Cabin v/s Tent: Which Is Better?

Deciding between renting a cabin or a tent is like choosing between vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Camping in a tent and camping in a cabin is similar, yet a little different.

Tent Camping:

Pros:
With tent camping, you are definitely going to gain the ultimate experience of outdoor and nature. You are separated with the night sky only by a piece of nylon cloth.

Falling asleep in the fresh and cool air of the night with the sound of a cricket chirping in the surroundings can give you a peaceful sleep. This way you can escape from all the hustle of your busy life and have free time of your own without interruption.

You can try out new gadgets used in camping to see what works best every time and can have fun. The more you camp in the tent, the more you become familiar with the different terrains and lands and your methods of camping evolve.

Cons:
The most obvious con while camping with tents is the experience of sleeping. Unless you bring yourself a portable bed, you are going to be very uncomfortable.

If you are thinking of an air mattress, then using them can also cause problems. Several people reading this must have experienced the deflating of their air mattresses. You will be waking up on the floor again.

Another major con is that you are exposed to the bugs and other elements of nature in the outdoors. Bugs and rain can easily enter your tent.

Cabin Camping:

Pros:
You have more shelter in cabin camping as compared to the tent camping. Instead of nylon cloth, you have wooden walls.

If you are spending for cabin then you can also get running water and electricity by throwing a few more bucks.

If you are going camping with your family then you can find options for cabins with multiple bedrooms.

You don’t need to bring the extra baggage of mattresses or equipment because you do not need any of that in the cabin.

You do not have to wake up in the agony of the burning sunlight and covered up in sweat. You will get a good night’s sleep and won’t be dehydrated in the morning.

Cons:
You do not get the experience of the outdoors and mother nature in a cabin. You can miss beautiful seasonal views. Because you get facilities of water and electricity, you might not feel like the purpose of camping getting fulfilled.

If you are camping in a cabin, then you are camping in a tent that is permanent. You are bound to follow the camping regulations and use the restrooms of the park. You cannot enjoy your trip as you wished.
