Brink: Ready and Able – Multiplayer Video

I remember watching the first Brink trailer ages ago and being intrigued. At the time, there were few details available, but I knew that part of the team working on Brink was also responsible for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a game which brought me months and month of entertainment and cost absolutely nothing. While Brink isn’t free, I have a feeling that the game will be more than worth the price of admission.

The trailer you’re about to watch gives us a solid glimpse into the multiplayer world of Brink, and so far I like what I see.

The gameplay looks interesting, and being the sucker for Parkour that I am, I’m looking forward to the various Parkour influenced movements that Splash Damage included in the game – lots of wall-runs at the very least.

This new video shows off a slew of abilities that players can unlock as they progress through the ranks of the persistent online ranking system of Brink. We also get a chance to see more of the weapons and beautiful level design that fills the world. The scenery looks stunning and varied, with a mix of super clean locales and rusted out city ghettos. I also noticed a weapon which brought a smile to my face; a suppressed shotgun, a weapon which I’ve wanted to see in a FPS ever since watching No Country For Old Men.

Brink arrives on May 17th for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
