Battlefield 3 – Armored Kill Cometh

When I’m not writing new articles or looking at questionable websites on the internet, chances are I’m playing Battlefield 3. I’m a long time fan of the franchise, and BF3 is my favorite game in the series by far. In a few days the latest expansion Armored Kill hits the streets, and when that happens, well… I just don’t know what I’ll do.

The trailer below shows off bits and pieces of the 4 new maps – one of which Dice claims is the largest Battlefield map ever created – as well as a bunch of new vehicles and guns. So without further adieu, I’m pleased to present you with the expansion that will only heighten my obsession with Battlefield 3.

Though the new maps and weapons look awesome, what I’m really excited about is the quad vehicle they’ve introduced. I absolutely love zipping around in a jeep, smashing into things, crashing over cliffs, and generally making it almost impossible for my gunner to hit anything. It’s just what I do. But now… now I’ll be able to do this at even higher speeds! If Dice is brilliant enough to include a few ramps around the levels, well… I’ll be thrilled.

Dice has done a bang up job releasing great BF3 trailers to promote both the core game and the expansions, and as the game’s life cycle draws closer to its inevitable end, I think I’ll actually begin to miss the promo material. Whoever keeps creating these trailers has a knack for capturing just the right amount of drama and action, and I hope that when Battlefield 4 is inevitable announced, these guys are the ones doing the trailers.

The Battlefield 3 Armored Kill expansion will be available on September 11, which is a very strange day to release one’s game if you ask me.
