3 Reasons Why You Should Skip University and go Straight to a Trade

With the growing population across the world, one thing that we all know is that the future of the students is quite uncertain. There are various reasons involved in making that happen, and fairly, none justifies the problems that students have to face now or going forward in their career.

A whole lot of college-going population believe that a degree, safeguards their future and promises better jobs but there is a different story in reality. A degree is not always what they need to get a job; in fact, it’s the skills and talent that matters to a lot of companies. The society has set a wrong expectation for the youth, regarding jobs and debts.

3 reasons why you can consider skipping University

1. Avoiding Debt
Tuition fees aren’t cheap. There are hundreds of dollars spent on tuitions, books, and other required materials. Unless you have someone to pay for everything else effortlessly, you have to take care of those expenses, or at least someone has to. So, by the time you are done with your degree, you’d have spent over $100,000! No matter how much they try to convince saying that highly educated youth earn more, it’s only the debts that you’ll end up clearing for initial few years.

2. A Stop to Creativity
The education system, in reality, doesn’t let your creativity live longer. How? When you are in college, you study subjects not to learn something new or exciting, but to mug up the same materials from years. That’s how you’ll get good grades! There is no time or freedom to think creatively and apply in real time to add value to the economy or the society while earning money as well.

3. Job Opportunities
Once you are done with college, what are you going to pursue? A job? But there’ll be thousands of people applying for the same job suited for the kind of degree you’ll hold. How will you stand out without a special skill? That’s when you’ll start questioning if taking up college was a better idea or falling in deep debt has become a problem. Now that you’re in debt, you’ll need a job to pay-off; and unless you get a suitable one, you might as well work anywhere meanwhile. That is wasting your time and skill for something you didn’t want, to begin with.

There are several other reasons why you should skip University and go straight to trade, and the internet too is full of such explanations. However, it’s for you to decide if a degree makes more sense to you or special skill does.
