Yung Lenox – Classic Hip Hop Albums Re-Created by a 7 Year Old

As I may have mentioned a few times, I’m not all that fond of children.

I find that they usually suck pretty hard, and though I don’t blame them completely for being so useless (they usually have lame parents), well… I still don’t want to spend a lot of time around them if I can avoid it. To my friends with children reading this, if you had no idea I felt this way, surprise!

Yung Lenox, The Best Child Ever?

Much like the scientific body, I like being proven wrong.

In fact, it happens all the time, and in this particular case, Yung Lenox – a talented 7 year old artist from Seattle – has proven to me without a shadow of doubt that there’s at least one awesome kid in this world… an awesome kid that likes to draw classic hip-hop album covers.

I’m not going to comment on every one, but you can expect to find treasures like As Nasty As They Wanna Be, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and 400 Degreez. After you’ve basked in Yung Lenox’s artistic glory, I’ll meet you back at the end to talk about him a little bit more before setting you free.

So, I usually wouldn’t bother posting something like this up on the site. After all, I complain about children enough that something like this would usually be pretty hypocritical. Having said that, I believe my acknowledgement of such an awesome kid should count for something, and butter you up for what I’m going to propose next.

You see, not only is Yung Lenox a talented artist, but he’s also quite enterprising. He’s selling signed prints of his work on this here website, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Are they good enough to warrant spending $25 to hang one on your wall?

Well, no… probably not, and that’s exactly why you should do it. At the very least you’ll have a great story to tell your friends when they point and ask “what the fuck is that?” during your next house party.
