Weekend Warmup – Rankin

A4 Magazine

The newest installation of the weekend warmup  is shot by a ridiculously talented photographer who only goes by the name of Rankin. He’s been around since ’92, and he’s published over 30 books. That’s why he’s in Cher territory. In Madonna territory, even. Rankin is such a big deal that he doesn’t need two names, and you’ll be thankin’ him after these very awesome, very big shots.

Often while looking around for the warmup, I find artists who shoot in sets or along themes. They choose a specific style or a signature look- well, Rankin’s signature is excellence. The wide range of his work attests to that, so let’s celebrate diversity! It’s not often you can see hundreds of photos by the same person and not feel bored with their styling.  These photos are all gloriously different, and some feature a few familiar beauties we’ve all …grown… to love. You can click any of them for much, much bigger versions. Happy Friday!

Head over to Rankin’s site and take a look around. It’s a real doozy to load, but it’s exceptionally refreshing for a successful commercial photographer of his caliber to be sharing such large hi-res photos with no watermarks. Show some love for unfettered sharing and gorgeous half naked ladies on the internet! Find something you love for your nude, er- new wallpaper. There are celebrity portraits and interesting editorials to round out your viewing experience, or for quickly throwing up when your boss stops in to your office for a chat.
