The Weapons of Far Cry 3 – Shooting Across the Island of Insanity

I’m not sure if you were aware, but Far Cry 3 – the latest and greatest of the Far Cry franchise – features guns. It’s true… lots of guns, in fact, and even some knives!

The Weapons of Far Cry 3 trailer you’re about to watch shows off a whole lot of, well… you know, singing, dancing, and merriment of course. Our main man Jason Brody decided to bring along his musical ability, and boy is he making the island’s inhabitants dance. They’re shuffling all over the place, and sometimes they’re even on fire!

Far Cry 3 Weapons, Oh My!

I have a feeling that many of you haven’t gotten around to playing Far Cry 2, and I think that’s all the more reason to play Far Cry 3 when it hits store shelves on December 4th.

Though deeply flawed, Far Cry 2 had the trappings of one incredible game, and based on what I’ve seen in the trailers for Ubisoft’s latest iteration of the franchise, we’re in for a greatly improved experience. With a little luck we’ll have all the qualities that made the last game so great – such a huge, living breathing world, an interesting story, and more firepower than a 3rd world militia – but with fixes and improvements to a few major areas, such as the complete and absolute removal of the guard stations that I hated so much from Far Cry 2, and the addition of lots and lots of bows and arrows. As you know, all games need bows and arrows now; that’s the rule!

What I don’t quite understand, though, is why someone decided to name the protagonist Jason Brody. I’m sorry to any Jason Brody’s who are reading this post right now, but your name is incredibly douchy, and that’s coming from someone who’s named Chad. At least I wasn’t named Chaz, though, right? That’s got to count for something.

Far Cry 3 Release Date

Now, in case you weren’t paying attention, Far Cry 3 is coming out on December 4th, 2012 out now for PC, Xbox360 and yes… even the Playstation 3. Featuring a lengthy single player campaign, co-op, and multiplayer, all of us will have plenty to do in a few weeks time. I’m about ready for a tropical island vacation anyway.

You can order a copy of Far Cry 3 online for $59.13 USD. I can tell you from experience… the single player campaign is absolutely awesome in every way. You’re going to have a blast, literally.
