Up In Smoke – Collection of Awesome Burnouts

I’m a hundred percent positive that every man on this earth has had the urge to do a burnout regardless of which vehicle they drive. Even archeologists would agree that Fred Flintstone most likely started this trend and the tradition continues to this day with gear heads getting together at the local track and burning through a few set of tires.

The practice of a burnout or peel out is to keep the vehicle stationary (or stationary as possible) while the wheels continue to spin which result in the tires heating up and creating a beautiful plume of smoke. These days, there are even burnout competitions to see who can perform the best burnout and winners are usually based on crowd response.

Below is a collection of ‘burnout photography’ by Simon Davidson of New Zealand who is based in Australia.
