The Traxxas X0-1 is one of the fastest RC cars in the world and is the fastest out of the box RC car. The X0-1 can hit a top speed of 100 mph, which is pretty damn fast especially for a remote control car that you don’t need to “hack” or mess around with.
According to the company, the X0-1 is not a toy car and is intended for experts only; it carries a risk of fire, injury, or worse, death! Traxxas suggests using the car on a closed course, like a race track or a drag strip. I can see the X0-1 taking out a few toes if you race it at full speed with people around, especially if you’re doing it in your living room.
The Traxxas X0-1 can get to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and hit top speed of 100 mph in a lightning fast 4.92 seconds; that’s faster than a Lamborghini Aventador and Pagani Huayra! The X0-1 measures about 27” in length and weighs 10.3 pounds with batteries (a pair of Traxxas Power Cell 3S 5,000Ah Lithium Polymer batteries). The car is controlled via an iPhone or iPod Touch using the Traxxas App which provides you with all the telemetry info you’d need and more.
The four-wheel drive Traxxas X0-1 RC car is priced at $1,100, while not cheap, it’s one of the cheapest ways to own a car that can hit 100 mph in under 5 seconds. The car will be available in December.
