When it’s winter, we want the summer heat and when it gets hot, we complain that it’s a bit too much for our liking. Mother nature really hates our complaining, I know because she told me in a wet lucid dream. Here in Vancouver, BC, most people don’t even own air conditioning units as it rarely reaches temperatures which would require the use of an A/C unit and when it does get really hot, it’s temporary.
Air conditioners are great for the indoors but they are pretty useless outdoors. The Auramist Cooling Fan System is a good compromise as the system can cool down large areas inside and outside. This is something that you would normally see at luxury resorts or cafes with outdoor seating but it’s available to normal folks like us as well. The Auramist Cooling Fan System is capable of reducing the air temperature by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit which is pretty damn impressive.
The reduction in air temperature is achieved by gently misting the surrounding area. The cooling fan features three or six patented nozzles (depends on model) which create droplets so fine, it feels dry to the touch and evaporate instantly. The Auramist Cooling Fan System also happens to use 80 percent less water than other misting systems while creating the same cooling effect.
The fan seen below features a 30-inch blade diameter and has reservoir which is capable of holding eight-gallons of water which can provide for eight hours of continuous misting. The density of the mist can be adjusted with a dial and the fan can cool an area as large as 1000 square feet. The fan will plug into an AC outlet and weighs in at 88-pounds. The model pictured below is the smaller version yet just as efficient. If you have a smaller patio or area you want to cool, the 18-inch blade diameter might be a good option. This model can hold 2.7 gallons of water which will last you for up to 5.4 hours of continuous misting and can cool an area as large as 500 square feet. Why not save big bucks and purchase a plant mister and handheld battery operated fan instead?!? The result will be the same and the cash saved can be spent on beer – result!
